Sure, the Sopranos has gone down in quality and total viewership. But, for HBO, 7.7 million viewers is still more than they could get for anything else they have on the air (Entourage? Rome? Big Love? I like them all but they haven’t drawn big numbers). If they pull the plug, they have to replace it with something. I think their decision to bail on the series has to be informed by possible alternatives. Maybe they’re waiting until they have something better in the wings?

Great how you show the roller-coaster of emotions that you went through on your career journey. I guess the lesson is that you have to be true to your nature and damn the consequences.
